What is MonoTools?

MonoTools is a small collection of free, browser-based image tools: a QR code generator, an AI background remover, an image compressor, a profile picture maker, a YouTube thumbnail downloader, and an image-to-PDF converter. Every tool runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and the Canvas API — nothing you upload is ever sent to a server.

Why we built it

Most online image tools ask you to upload your photos to a server, which means your files pass through someone else's infrastructure before you get a result. We wanted the opposite: fast, free tools that respect your privacy by design — your images never leave your device, whether you're on Wi-Fi or offline.

Design philosophy

The entire site follows one visual rule: pure black ink on white, no color, no gradients. It's a deliberate choice to keep the interface calm, fast-loading, and focused on the tools themselves rather than decoration.
